Francis Artisan Bakery Bloggers Baker's Day with Ari Wibowo - First Time Baking Experience

[Bloggers Baker's Day]

Have you ever heard about Francis Artisan Bakery ( @francisartisanbakery ) ?

As a big fan of bread and to be precisely, I love every kind of bread, Francis is one of my fav bread store in Jakarta! They opened their outlet in Grand Indonesia, Central Park, Baywalk, Mall Kelapa Gading 3, Gandaria City, Lippo Mall Puri and also Lippo Mall Kemang. And somehow, I got invited to come to their event, it is Bloggers Baker's Day with Ari Wibowo ( @ariwibowo_official ). I know that Ari Wibowo is one of the hot celebrity crush  and he is ( as I heard ) the ambassador from Francis. So yeah, because I think it would be a great experience since I never bake a bread so my thought was "why not?' and I replied the email that I'll join their event !

[Francis]

At first, I was quite nervous because I never bake even once in my life, even I never touch the kitchen in my home so as you can see I have zero experience. The event was last Saturday, 24th February 2018 at Francis outlet in Mall Taman Anggrek, and when I just arrived and I saw some familiar face such as @alexxrex , @jessica_gaby and @gerryfranata . So I was very pleased because I'm quite shy around new people. The event started and The Francis representative were explaining us about the brand and what we gonna do in that day! In conclusion, we're gonna try to make their famous Choco Bun and Choco Banana !

[Ari Wibowo]

So after that, we headed to their kitchen but first we got to wash our hand first! and we need use a masker and also a hair net because Francis really consider about their hygiene of their product ! after that we need to wear plastic gloves before we start baking ! ( Can you see how much effort they put just to make sure your food is clean ).

[Dough]

So the first thing we are gonna bake was their Choco Banana because it took longer time until it's done. They gave us this brown-ish dough that we will try to shape until it's become 2 piece of layer. One is for the bottom and one is for the top that will cover the bread!

[Rolling]

We used roller to help us make some certain shape that we need. and after that, we just need to put some chocolate lava and the banana on the top of the bottom layer and then we covered it with the top layer and merge the edge of the top and the bottom layer until there's no hole because if there is, the chocolate lava will come out from the bread after we put it in oven.

[Before]

Yeayy, look at mine! So far, it doesn't look that bad either! and after that step, we need to put our bread to this machine called Proofer ! and while waiting for our choco banana in proofer. They explained us about their utensil and machine ( that I think I shouldn't tell you here because it is company's secret lol ) and also We were ready to prepare making our next bread, it's CHOCO BUN !

[Choco Bun]

For the Choco bun, the process was easier than the choco banana, we just need to put the filling into the dough and just merge the edge until there's no hole in the bread because we don't need to shape it like the first one. But in reality, it was super tricky than the first one, because it needs special technique and skills. My choco bun was really hard to merge and it doesn't looks that good.

But at least I've tried and after that, now we can put the choco bun into the oven Wohhhpp!! After awhile, our choco banana bread is ready for the next step! To put the cheese cube and sprinkled some flour on the top of it !

[Almost done]

After everything's done, it went straight to the oven so we just wait until it finished! It looks easy right ? But believe me, it was exhausting but still, can't wait to see the result!

The bread is done and I just looked at my bread. So overall my bread looks pretty decent lahh! Not bad lah for the first timer and I just realized that it's really hard to make just one or two bread, it's really different from how they easily demonstrate it. I should give some respect to Francis Artisan Bakery for making everything even from the dough every morning and every day because their bread is super fresh and their consistency of their bread's taste. I just bake 2 type of bread and it's already exhausting and they make this thousand bread everyday!

[Me]

It was really quite a good experience, especially when you try baking with an actor and Mr. Ari was super nice and fun also. I never had a chance to bake in home but now I think I will do it if I ever had a free time. I just want to say my gratitude to Francis for this opportunity and I hope they keep making delicious bread everyday! That's it for today's post! Hope you like it and see you next time!
